Venezuelan President Honors Sudanese Ambassador

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro Moros bestowed the First Class Order of the Venezuelan Hero, Francisco de Miranda, to ambassador Al-Tayib Abu-Algasim on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 AD, Mr. Felix Placencia, Minister of Foreign Affairs, awarded the medal to the Ambassador on behalf of the Venezuelan President, in the presence of the ambassadors of the Arab and African Group accredited to Venezuela, in addition to the ambassadors of China, Turkey and Cuba, and in the presence of the Deputy Head of Mission Counselor / Mustafa Abu Ali and members of the mission, on the occasion of the end of his tenure as Sudan’s ambassador to the Bavarian Republic of Venezuela, and an appreciation of his efforts to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.

In this regard, the Ambassador expressed the thanks and appreciation of the people and government of the Republic of Sudan to the people and government of the Bavarian Republic of Venezuela for this honor and designation, adding his thanks to officials in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and several ministries for the cooperation and support he found to promote and develop relations between the two countries. He praised the level of great cooperation witnessed by the relations between the two countries at the level of multilateral diplomacy.

For his part, the Minister expressed his thanks to Ambassador Al-Tayeb Abu Al-Qasim for his efforts during his tenure, praising the level of distinguished relations between the two countries, and wishing for further development and promotion of relations between the two friendly countries.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister held a lunch on this occasion at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the presence of the aforementioned members of the diplomatic corps and several officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
