Tripartite Military Committee, Freedom and Change, & National Accord Hold a Consultative Meeting on National Dialogue

Khartoum – 16/06/2022 — Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, chaired today at the Republican Palace the first consultative meeting between the Tripartite Military Committee for National Dialogue and the Forces for Freedom and Change, the “National Accord Group”.

The official spokesman for the tripartite military committee, Brigadier General Nabil Abdullah Ali, said in a press statement that the meeting comes within the framework of consultations on managing the national dialogue, noting that the meeting was transparent and dominated by a consultative spirit.

His Excellency said that the Tripartite Military Committee for the National Dialogue stressed the need for the dialogue to be comprehensive and that the purpose of the bilateral meetings that are being held is to listen to the other’s point of view on managing the comprehensive national dialogue.

Ali Khalifa Askari, a member of the Leadership Committee for Freedom and Change “National Accord Group”, stated that the meeting listened to a detailed report on the meetings of the tripartite mechanism with the Central Council for Freedom and Change and the military component that were held last week, and was briefed on the vision of the National Accord Group on dialogue, stressing that The two sides agreed to support the efforts of the tripartite mechanism, as it is the only mechanism available for dialogue, pointing to the existence of basic pillars, which all parties seek to strengthen.
