Minister of Culture and Information, Official Government Spokesperson has strongly condemned the attack of the rebel terrorist Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia on the Sabreen Market of Omdurman.

We strongly condemn the treacherous terrorist attack launched today by the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia on Sabreen Market in Omdurman, which resulted in numerous innocent civilian casualties, including children, women, and the elderly, as well as widespread destruction of both private and public property.
This criminal act adds to the bloody record of this militia, following its bombing of the city of El Fasher, displaced persons camps, residential neighborhoods in Omdurman, and other areas of Sudan. It constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.
The government of Sudan stands in solidarity with the families of the victims and all those affected by this terrorist attack, as well as by previous attacks in other regions. We call on the international community and human rights organizations to classify this militia as a terrorist organization and to hold accountable those responsible for the mass killings and this heinous crime, including fugitive rebel Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo and the countries that supply him, his militia, and mercenaries with weapons that have led to the deaths of innocent civilians.
At the same time, we emphasize the necessity of protecting civilians at all times and in all regions of Sudan, ensuring they are not subjected to any threats. We also reaffirm the Sudanese government’s full commitment to safeguarding its people and supporting the legitimate military institution, represented by the Sudanese Armed Forces, as it continues its sacrifices in defense of the Sudanese people and works tirelessly to restore security and stability to the country.
