Khartoum 05/08/2022 — The Secretary-General of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Wefaq Salah Abdel-Aal Mabrouk, announced a vision for an economically revitalized Sudan and a citizen living in luxury, through the implementation of an emergency plan and a medium and long-term plan, with the establishment of the Supreme Council for the National Economy under the supervision of the Prime Minister and the membership of the ministries of the government sector, the economic sector and the representative unions for the national private sector.

She stressed that the current situation, with its complexities, proved to everyone that this vision is as close to feasible as possible.

Wefaq added: We all hope, as soon as the next government is announced, that it will first adopt the establishment of the Supreme Council for the National Economy under the auspices and supervision of the Prime Minister and the membership of all ministries and unions of the economic sector to develop a unified vision translated into an ambitious action plan and integrated roles between the government sector and the private sector.

Wefaq noted that the vision includes an emergency plan and a medium and long-term plan.
Wefaq expected that the positive outcome would be the recovery of the Sudanese economy, the creation of abundance, the lifting of the burden on the citizens, the creation of job opportunities for various societal segments, collective and family production, and a high movement in agriculture, industry, and production in general, which would lead to stability in various aspects of life, if not total.
