Sovereignty Council VP Briefed on South Sudan Peace Agreement Progress

Khartoum 24/08/2022 – The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, discussed with the Adviser to the President of the State of South Sudan for Security Affairs, Tut Galwak, the progress of the implementation of the revitalized South Sudan Peace Agreement.

His Excellency received today, during his meeting with the advisor to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Tut Qalwak, in the presence of Minister of East African Affairs Deng Alor and Minister of Higher Education Gabriel Shamson, enlightenment on the final arrangements for the graduation of the integrated forces at the end of this month and preparations to absorb the second batch of forces within the framework of the implementation of the peace agreement.

Tut Gallwak explained that he invited the Vice President of the Sovereign Council to attend the graduation ceremony at the end of August, in his capacity as Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Implementation of the Peace Agreement to revitalize South Sudan, pointing to the great efforts that Lieutenant-General Dagalo has been aware of in the permanent follow-up to the progress of the agreement and contributing to bringing the views of the parties closer. Convention.

Qalwak added that he informed the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council of the formation of state governments in accordance with the peace agreement, stressing their commitment to continue graduating the batches of the integrated forces.
