Vice President of the Sovereignty Council Arrives in Juba

Juba 11/08/2022 – The Vice-President of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, arrived today in Juba, the capital of the Republic of South Sudan, for a one-day visit.

He was received at Juba International Airport by the Adviser to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Tut Galwak, Foreign Minister Miek Deng, Minister of Investment Dhiu Matuk, Minister of East African Affairs Deng Alor, Sudan’s Ambassador to Juba Jamal Malik and members of the embassy.

Counselor Tut Galuak expressed his country’s welcome to General Dagalo’s visit, who will discuss with the leadership in South Sudan a review of the process of implementing the revitalized peace agreement, and revealed an upcoming meeting between President Salva Kiir Mayardit and General Dagalo, in addition to other meetings with the parties to peace.
