Chairman of National Commission for Human Rights Meets Governor of West Darfur

Genaina – Chairman of the National Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Rifa’at Mirghani Abbas Al-Amin, met Saturday at the conclusion of the visit of the delegation of the National Commission for Human Rights to Genaina city in West Darfur State, the state’s governor, Khamis Abdullah Abkar, and thanked him for his efforts in holding the dialogue Workshop on Combat of Hate Speech held by the National Commission for Human Rights in cooperation with the Knowledge Center for Human Rights of Faculty of Law in Geneina University.

The governor stressed the important role of the National Commission for Human Rights in the promotion and protection of human rights, and welcomed the proposal to open an office of the Commission in the state.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the National Commission for Rights and the Vice – Chancellor Geneina University, Prof. Al-Tayeb Ali Ahmed, signed a memorandum of understanding and partnership in the field of raising awareness on the culture of human rights.
