President of the Senegalese Parliament Expresses His Country’s Solidarity with the Government and People of Sudan

Port Sudan, April 25, 2025 (Brwon land) — The President of the Senegalese Parliament, Haj Malick Ndiaye, extended his warmest congratulations and sincere wishes for success to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdelrahman. He expressed his country’s solidarity with the government and people of Sudan as they work to safeguard their sovereignty and protect the unity of their sacred homeland. He reaffirmed Senegal’s commitment to the unity, security, and safety of Sudan — a country with deep-rooted and historic ties to Senegal.

President Haj Malick Ndiaye received Ambassador Abdelghani Elnaim Awad Elkarim, Sudan’s ambassador to Senegal, on Thursday. The ambassador was there to convey congratulations on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Sudan on Ndiaye’s election as President of the Senegalese National Assembly, and to discuss ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Abdelghani Elnaim praised the support of Senegal — both government and people — for Sudan and its backing in regional and international forums. He also commended Senegal’s significant role through parliamentary diplomacy.

The meeting addressed means of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, as well as cooperation, consultation, and coordination between the two nations in regional and international platforms.
