Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, conducted an official visit to the Al-jili Refinery, during which he reaffirmed his commitment to its reconstruction and revitalization.

During the visit, he assessed the extent of the damage inflicted by the terrorist Rapid Support Forces militia on this vital national asset.

Al-Burhan reiterated his commitment to rebuilding the refinery, emphasizing its critical importance as a key economic resource for Sudan. He further stressed that the destruction and vandalism perpetrated by the militia would not go unpunished, stating, “We have pledged, alongside the people, to continue our efforts to defeat this rebellion until every inch defiled by the criminal Rapid Support Forces militia is cleansed.”

The President of the Sovereign Council also commended the engineers and workers at the refinery for their dedicated efforts in addressing the damage and initiating the reconstruction process. Their determination will ensure that the refinery is restored to full operational capacity, reaffirming its role as a cornerstone of Sudan’s economy.
