
Chairman of the Sovereignty Council: We are determined to end the rebellion once and for all and will not allow it to reappear
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, affirmed that the regular forces, in all their formations, stand shoulder to shoulder with the Sudanese people to decisively defeat and eliminate the rebellion. He emphasized that the state will not allow any further opportunity for a new rebellion and that any leniency or laxity in this regard will be met with firmness and decisiveness.
During his address at the graduation ceremony of the 22nd qualifying class of the General Intelligence Service, in the presence of the Director General of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, al-Burhan praised the heroic role of the service’s personnel who joined the battle for dignity from the very beginning and supported the armed forces on all fronts. Al-Burhan commended the steadfastness of the General Intelligence Service and its commitment to its oath at a time when many values and principles have collapsed. He affirmed the determination of the armed forces and other regular forces to restore security and stability throughout the country. He stated, “The rebellion is doomed.” The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council stated, “The oath taken by the graduates doubles their responsibility to safeguard the unity of the nation’s territory and protect its resources.” He pointed out that the real dangers surrounding the country necessitate the application of the principle that security is everyone’s responsibility. The Commander-in-Chief saluted the martyrs of Sudan who sacrificed their lives for the homeland, expressing his wishes for a speedy recovery for the wounded and the safe return of prisoners and missing persons. He affirmed that their sacrifices and bravery are the source from which the people and the armed forces draw strength to achieve a resounding victory.
