Higher education announces nomination of 164,323 students to join Universities

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Mohamed Hassan Dahab, announced today the result of the general admission (first round) of higher education institutions for the year 2022-2023, revealing the nomination of 164,323 male and female students for admission to universities from a total of 218,232 male and female students who applied for 77,6 % Of Bachelor, and 22.4% for technical diploma from the total number of candidates

While the number of vacant seats reached 153,712 seats for Bachelor’s and Technical Diploma.

Dahab said in a press conference today in the ministry, that the planned number of admission reached 458,970 seats for different types of acceptance from the public and private and distance education, pointing to an increase of 2% in admission to medical colleges from last year,

Announcing more than 1,000 scholarships for private and foreign education institutions that are submitted electronically from tomorrow, Thursday, in medical and health specialties.
Dahab expected that large numbers of applicants were accepted because the number of students who took the exam was large.

He added that the acceptance of expatriate students took place this year from the first round.
