This morning in Djibouti, I co-chaired the IGAD–European Union Partnership Dialogue with H.E. Dr. Denisa-Elena Ionete, EU Ambassador to Djibouti and IGAD. The Dialogue reaffirmed our shared commitment to regional peace and security, emphasizing the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing political, security, humanitarian, and climate challenges in the Horn of Africa. I reiterated IGAD’s vital role in mobilising greater international support for conflict resolution and our commitment to strengthening the IGAD–EU strategic partnership in support of regional stability and development.
