A Failed Transitional Period

It was preceded by two successful transitions from a military autocratic rule to a full-fledged democratic rule. Unfortunately and sadly enough the democratic civilian rule did not last long in Sudan. In 66 years after independence, only 14 years were civilian rules including 2 years of transition.
